So, with a CPA, you could consider a career in accounting, either in the profession, i.e., preparing, auditing, and interpreting client accounts; acting as their financial advisor; or as the chief accountant directing the accounting function in an organization.

Entry requirements:

A KCSE mean grade of C+ (plus) with at least a C+ (plus) in both Mathematics and English, or
Kenya Accounting Technicians Certificate or the Accounts Clerk National Certificate, or
A degree from a recognised university.

Course duration: 3 years

Mode of study: Full-time and part-time

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)

CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)

Entry requirements:

A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university – please keep in mind that you must have received your bachelor’s degree by December 31 of the current examination year to be eligible for admission to the CFA® Program.
Otherwise, if you don’t have a degree, then you should be a qualified professional with four years of work experience.

Course duration: 3 years
