21 units in total, divided into:

About Strathmore university masters admission

Do not forget that for most of the above Strathmore university masters degree courses, you may be considered if you have other related qualifications(qualifications such as Higher National Diploma or KASNEB certifications such as CICT/CISSE are, in general, taken to be equivalent to a Degree)

The other thing you need to know is that regardless of you achieving the minimum entry requirements, you will have to sit for a mandatory Graduate Entrance Exam(GEE)..this is an interview (oral and written) before you can be admitted(you must ace it).

Now, it will cost you Kshs.2500.00(you pay this on the interview day, which is usually Wednesdays and Fridays each week @2:00PM) though for MCOM, the fee is Kshs.5000.00

Finally, you must have attained a C+ (minimum) in your KCSE to get a chance in any of the above Strathmore university post graduate degree courses.

For the most part, the intakes for Strathmore university masters courses are in May and September (every year).

I must add that a few programmes have a single intake including the Masters degree in Spectrum Management whose intake is in September only.

Strathmore university masters courses duration

Many of the programmes take 2 years (on average) and the university is very keen to ensure you finish on time.

That said, the MCOM takes 18 months.

 

How are Strathmore university masters courses taught? Must you attend physically?

The mode of learning is normally hybrid- a few physical attendances mixed with online sessions.

Indeed, there are a few majorly Online masters courses at strathmore university including the MBA for executives.

There are courses taught after work(in the evenings) for 4 days/ week (from 5:30-8:30pm) too.

So enquire about the course you have in mind to be sure when applying.

 

A word about Strathmore university masters scholarships

Strathmore university occasionally announces scholarships opportunities for masters students but these are not always there.
