Michuki Technical Training Institute fees structure (for all courses offered at Michuki technical training institute)

So, regardless of the course offered by the institution, the total annual fee for each student is Kshs. 56,420.

However, if you applied through KUCCPS, you will be eligible for a government capitation of Kshs. 30,000, which means that you will only have to pay Kshs. 26,420 as a government-sponsored student.

Furthermore, you can apply for a HELB loan to cover the remainder of the fee.

However, because there is no government subsidy for self-sponsored students, they must pay the full amount of Kshs. 56,420. They can, however, apply for a HELB loan.

Kshs. 28,209 (term 1) + Kshs. 28,211 (term 2) = Kshs. 56,420

However, the above fee only covers tuition and does not include boarding or national examination fees.

Please keep in mind that the national examination fee (KNEC and NITA) is paid separately once a year prior to the exam period.

  • Library fee of 900 (per academic year)
  • Student ID at 500 (payable once per academic year)

How to apply

If you want to be a government-sponsored student, you must apply through KUCCPS. Remember that if you apply through KUCCPS, you will be eligible for a Kshs. 30,000 government subsidy.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Go to the KUCCPS Student Portal and see whether the application is open.
  2. If the application is open, proceed to the KUCCPS portal and select the course that you want to pursue [if the application is not open, keep checking].
  3. Then, as your preferred institution, select the Michuki Technical Training Institute.
  4. Finally, choose and submit the course you want to take.
  5. You can download your admission letter from the Michuki Online Portal once you have been successfully placed in the course of your choice.

Keep in mind that there is a Kshs. 1,500 KUCCPS application fee that you will have to pay in the course of your application.

You can also apply as a private student, which you can do as follows:

  1. Navigate to the Michuki Online Portal and select the Applicant Registration option.
  2. After that, enter your information and submit.
  3. The system will send you an activation email to the address you provided. To complete the registration, open the email message and click on the link.
  4. Return to the Michuki Online Portal and apply to a course of your choice. Here is a list of all the courses offered by Michuki TTI.

Alternatively, you can physically obtain the application form from the institution, fill it out, and return it to the registrar’s office.

Michuki Technical Training Institute hostels

Due to the large number of students, Michuki TTI provides hostel facilities on a first-come, first-served basis.

It should be noted that Michuki Technical Training Institute charges Kshs. 4000 per term for hostel services.

It is also important to note that you can only pay for the hostel if you have already paid your tuition and confirmed the availability of vacant hostels.
