Degree in electrical engineering

Minimum entry requirements

You must have attained a KCSE mean grade of C+ (plus) or above.

Cluster Subjects requirements

  • C+ plus in Mathematics
  • C+ plus in Chemistry
  • C+ plus in Physics
  • C+ in either Biology or Geography or any Group III or Group IV subject

Alternatively, you can enroll for a degree in electrical engineering if you are a KACE holder with two principal passes in mathematics and physics, as well as a total score of at least nine points at the KACE or equivalent.

Or,

Have a credit pass in chemistry at the KACE or its equivalent is required.

Also, you can apply for this course with a diploma or higher in electrical and electronic engineering from an accredited institution.

However, even with the diploma or the higher diploma, you must be registered with the Engineering Registration Board of Kenya (ERB) to practice as an electrical engineer.
