So you want to pursue a bachelor of arts in linguistics and literature course in Kenya?
Well, here is everything you need to know about a bachelor of arts in linguistics degree in Kenya including the minimum entry requirements and universities offering the programme.

Bachelor of Arts in linguistics and literature [all you need to know]
Minimum entry qualifications
KCSE Mean grade: C+
Additional requirements: C+ in English/Kiswahili.
Other acceptable qualifications: Diploma in English (with a credit pass-at least).
You can also be admitted if you have a higher diploma in a relevant discipline and you will go straight into the 2nd year of study (if you’re accepted).
Note that for a bachelor of arts (BA) in linguistics, the basic entry requirements change slightly and are as follows:
KCSE Mean grade: C+
Additional requirements: B- in English
Duration of the course
The Bachelor of Arts in linguistics and literature degree will run for the same duration as any other Arts & Social Sciences bachelor’s programme, that is, 8 semesters (or 4 academic years)
Universities offering Bachelor of Arts in linguistics and literature
Below are the universities you can join for your bachelor of arts in linguistics and literature course:
Chuka University
Chuka University is one of the public universities offering the programme.
The fees per semester was Kshs.50,000.00 When I last checked and as mentioned, you will study for 8 semesters.
You can apply now online or visit the University physically to make your application.
Moi University
You can also choose to join Moi University but this time for a Bachelor of Arts(Linguistics) course.
You are already aware of the minimum entry requirements so I need not repeat that.

There are a few other universities I will add here but as you will note, they do not offer a pure BA in linguistics and literature (for the most part, these major in literature).
