If you have been admitted into the Diploma in Pharmacy course at KMTC, below is the current KMTC diploma in pharmacy fee structure to help you plan your finances properly.
Note that the course takes 3 years to complete – that being so, we have broken down the fee structure per year
KMTC diploma in pharmacy fee structure for Regular students
1st year
Total amount payable: Kshs. 80700
2nd year
Total amount payable: Kshs. 78000
3rd year
Total amount payable: Kshs. 78000
Remember that when I say regular students, I’m referring to government sponsored students admitted via KUCCPS students application portal.
You apply as a regular student when the KUCCPS portal opens for KMTC programmes intakes – they do announce via the media as well as through their official social media channels (KMTC also announces)
KMTC diploma in pharmacy fee structure for Self-sponsored students
Fee for self-sponsored learners is a bit higher as you can see below:
1st year
Total amount payable: Kshs. 120700
2nd year
Total amount payable: Kshs. 118000
3rd year
Total amount payable: Kshs. 118000
Now, if you want to go the self-sponsored way, it’s best to speak to KMTC for details about when their next intake for self-sponsored learners is.

KMTC diploma in pharmacy requirements (qualifications for diploma in pharmacy at KMTC / requirements for diploma in pharmacy at KMTC)
Below are the minimum requirements for diploma in pharmacy in Kenya at KMTC and indeed everywhere else- the requirements are usually standardized.
KCSE Mean (aggregate) Grade: C (Plain)
Cluster subjects and minimum requirements /grades:
- English or Kiswahili (any one): C (Plain) grade
- Chemistry/Physical Sciences (any one): C (Plain) grade
- Biology or Biological Sciences (again any one of the two): C (Plain) grade
You also must have a C grade (plain) in any of these following subjects (one will suffice):
- Mathematics / Physics / Physical Sciences
