Kenya Coast National Polytechnic fee structure

The government having standardized the tuition fee for public TVET colleges and national polytechnics, you’ll pay Kshs. 67,189 per year regardless of the course you pursue (but you’ll need to budget separately for exams, accommodation, and meals).

However, the fee structure for the available professional and short courses will be provided upon inquiry, so contact the institution using the contacts listed towards the end of this article.

Term 1:

Term 2:

Total= Kshs. 31,969

TOTAL PER YEAR: KSHS. 67,189

Other charges payable on admission:

Registration fee of 200
Student council: 200
KCNP t/shirt at 700
Development Fund: 3,000
KUCCPS Registration fee of 1,500

TOTAL: KSHS. 6,100

So, you’ll pay a total of Kshs. 73,289 (67,189 + 6,100) during admission.

Kenya Coast National Polytechnic course requirements

To be eligible for any course at the polytechnic, you must have the following qualifications:

Artisan courses: KCSE mean grade of D- (minus) and below

Certificate courses: KCSE mean grade of D (plain) or its equivalent

Diploma courses: KCSE mean grade of C- (minus) or a craft certificate in a relevant field

Kenya Coast National Polytechnic – How to apply

The best way to apply to the polytechnic is through KUCCPS when the portal opens for applications.

Remember that by applying through KUCCPS, you will be eligible for government scholarships, loans, and bursaries to help with your educational expenses.

Otherwise, if you want to apply as a self-sponsored student, go to the school’s website and fill out an online application.

Also, remember to include any required documents, such as a scanned copy of the KCPE result slip/certificate and a scanned copy of the KCSE result slip/certificate, among others.
