Degree in electrical engineering in Kenya

Electrical engineering degree programs provide students with hands-on experience, knowledge, and skills to design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and devices.

You must have attained a KCSE mean grade of C+ (plus) or above.

Besides, you must have obtained at least a C+ (plus) in each of the cluster subjects listed below:

Physics
Biology or Geography or any Group III or Group IV subject

This does not, however, guarantee admission to all institutions; competition for this course is typically high, so you may need to obtain higher grades to gain admission to some institutions. JKUAT, for example, requires a mean KCSE grade of B- (minus) with a C+ (plus) in the cluster subjects.

For KACE holders:

You must have two principal passes in mathematics and physics, as well as a total score of at least nine points at the KACE or equivalent.

Also, a credit pass in chemistry at the KACE or its equivalent is required.

For diploma holders:

If you have a diploma or higher in electrical and electronic engineering from an accredited institution, you can enroll in the degree program.
