So, all applicants to Amboseli Institute must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  • A minimum mean grade of C- (minus) for all diploma entries,
  • a minimum mean grade of D (plain) for the certificate level, and
  • a minimum mean grade of D- (minus) for artisan-level entries.

This department’s courses are designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies in the fundamental operations aspects of travel and tourism management.

Furthermore, graduates have a diverse range of opportunities in leading organizations and companies such as tourism companies, airports, seaports, environmental conservation, cultural heritage centers, and wildlife reserves and sanctuaries, to name a few.

3.     School of Fashion fees structure

Fashion and design courses prepare students for careers in fashion, art, and a variety of design fields.

Therefore, students who are passionate about fashion are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and competence for the ever-changing fashion industry.

4.     School of Foreign language fees structure

Please keep in mind that the above fee only covers tuition and does not include boarding, national examination, or professional body fees; therefore, you must budget for these separately.

 

Other fees payable

In addition to the tuition fee, all new students must pay the following mandatory fees:

  • Admission fee: 5,000 (payable once, only during admission)
  • Repair and maintenance fee: 5,000
  • Student’s ID card: 1,000 (payable once per academic year)
  • Computer fee: 2,500
  • Computer Access fee: 500
  • Activity fee, Precautions and Safety fee: 3,500
  • Insurance: 4000
  • School T-shirt: 1,500
  • Graduation fee: 5,500 (payable by all students before graduation)

Amboseli Institute intakes

The institute typically has four regular intakes per year, that is on; January, April, July, and October.

 

Amboseli Institute hostels

For students who choose to reside on campus, Amboseli Institute provides accommodation facilities, but only for female students.

The accommodation fee is Kshs. 12,700 per term (which includes free Wi-Fi, meals, and 24-hour security).

However, due to the limited number of available rooms, hostels are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

It’s also worth noting that you can only pay for the hostel after you’ve paid your tuition in full and confirmed the availability of vacant hostels.
