Course name: Bachelor of Science (Bsc) In Information Security & Forensics
Minimum entry requirements:
KCSE mean grade/aggregate grade: C+(plus) OR an equivalent

You take 3 years (or nine trimesters)
How to apply
Apply via KUCCPS (if you’re a recent form 4 leaver and you want to get some government funding in form of loans).

Strathmore University also teaches a well-known cyber security degree under its School of Computing & Engineering Sciences ..The university was one of the pioneers when it comes to information security degree in Kenya (I think they were the first to offer the course locally)
Below are its full details:
Course name: Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Computer Networks& Cyber Security
Minimum entry requirements:
KCSE mean grade/aggregate grade: B Plain(B standing) OR an equivalent
Note that you must have scored a similar grade(B plain) in your Mathematics paper to be admitted.
You take 4 years (to complete the course)
How to apply
Well, you have to apply straight to Strathmore University..
And you can do that through the University’s website.
However, the best option is to visit Strathmore University physically- again carry all your documents including academic transcripts- and apply through the admissions office.
I’m saying so because you need to do a mandatory entrance examination (you pay kshs.2500.00) for the exam –and pass- before you can join the programme (so there is an extra entrance interview even if you have met the previously listed minimum entry grades).

Now, I have to say that competition for slots is a bit tough here, of course, mainly because it is a government-sponsored university, which means you could get a scholarship for the course (depending on where the government HEF funding website categorizes you.
Remember that you have to apply for funding after you get an admission letter for the course to know if and how much funding the government will be paying for you (you can cover the balance by applying for a loan as well).
