So you’re looking for JKUAT civil engineering fee structure? Well, here it is to help you budget properly, if you’ll be joining JKUAT for a civil engineering degree (BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering).

JKUAT civil engineering fee structure – self sponsored students

First year (new civil engineering students)

Semester 1 – Kshs. 118094

Semester 2 – Kshs. 114035

Total for the first year – Kshs. 210690

Please note that you might be asked to add Kshs.9000 as book allowance as well as Kshs. 18000 as meals allowance, if you’ll be taking meals at the student’s cafeteria.

So total for the year for the additional fee will be Kshs.27000

 

Second year (continuing civil engineering students in 2nd year)

Semester 1 – Kshs. 120867

Semester 2 – Kshs. 117508

Total for the first year – Kshs. 238375

Again you might be required to add Kshs.9000 as book allowance as well as Kshs. 18000 as meals allowance(food allowance), if you’ll be taking your meals at the student’s cafeteria.

 

Third year (continuing civil engineering students in the 3rd year)

Semester 1 – Kshs. 120867

Semester 2 – Kshs. 117508

Total for the first year – Kshs. 238375

Remember the meals allowance and book allowance total of Kshs.27000 may be applicable

 

Fourth year (continuing civil engineering students in the 4th year)

Semester 1 – Kshs. 120867

Semester 2 – Kshs. 117508

Total for the first year – Kshs. 238375

Again the meals allowance and book allowance total of Kshs.27000 may be applicable

 

Fifth year (continuing civil engineering students in their 5th and final year)

Semester 1 – Kshs. 117394

Semester 2 – Kshs. 114035

Total for the first year – Kshs. 231429

Again the meals allowance and book allowance total of Kshs.27000 may be applicable

 

JKUAT civil engineering fee structure – government sponsored students

First year (newly admitted government sponsored civil engineering students)

Semester 1 – Kshs. 20650

Semester 2 – Kshs. 16170

Total for the first year – Kshs. 36820

Other fees:

Book allowance –9000 kshs. (kshs.4500 per semester)

Meals allowance/food allowance– 18000 kshs. (kshs.9000 per semester)

Attachment fee (payable by students undertaking their attachment)- Kshs. 2895 -Kshs.1448 paid during the first semester and Kshs. 1147 due in the second semester)

Accomodation/hostels fee (payable by students who get a chance in the University’s hostels)- Kshs.13000 (Kshs.6500 paid during the first semester and Kshs. 6500 due in the second semester)

 

Other years (Continuing government sponsored civil engineering students)

Semester 1 – Kshs. 18776

Semester 2 – Kshs. 16169

Total for the first year – Kshs. 34945

Other fees:

Book allowance –9000 kshs. (kshs.4500 per semester)

Meals allowance/food allowance– 18000 kshs. (kshs.9000 per semester)

Attachment fee (payable by students undertaking their attachment)- Kshs. 2895 -Kshs.1448 paid during the first semester and Kshs. 1147 due in the second semester)

Accomodation/hostels fee (payable by students who stay in the University’s hostels)- Kshs.13000 (Kshs.6500 paid during the first semester and Kshs. 6500 due in the second semester)

 

Update: Please log into your KUCCPS student portal to view the updated JKUAT civil engineering fee – KUCCPS is now publishing fees information against the course.

Just choose Civil engineering at JKUAT to see how much you’ll be paying per year- of course, government sponsored students pay less and can also benefit from scholarships , subsidy, and grants.

You may also apply for HELB loan.

How to pay fees

You are to pay your fees into these bank accounts:

ABSA Bank

KCB  Bank (fees)

KCB Bank (For Taifa Laptop Only- if you’d like to buy a laptop from the university)

Cooperative Bank of Kenya JKUAT Account

National Bank of Kenya JKUAT Account

Account Number to use: 0100359580600

 

Needless to say, you have to enter your registration number in the space provided in the deposit slip when paying fee.

Oh, and please avoid paying through bank agents…the university prefers direct bank deposit (carry your slip with you)

Reminder:

Fees should be paid before the commencement of the semester (it’s payable upfront- as per JKUAT’s fees policy)

Also, note that the amount for books and meals are just estimates and could be more or less. Confirm at the time of paying the exact amount.
