Before we look at the courses and the fee structure, note that we will also guide you on the requirements you need to enroll for in all courses offered in multimedia university.
So below are multimedia university courses, requirements and fee.
Multimedia university degree courses
1. Faculty of computing and information technology
· Master of Science in Information Technology
Entry Requirements
For you to qualify to enroll for this course, you must either be a Holders of First Class or a holder of Upper Second-Class Honors.
Alternatively, you need to have a degree in a Computer Science or IT discipline but only from a recognized university.
Additionally, if you must have obtained a minimum grade of a C+ in their KCSE
· Master of Science in Computer Science
Entry requirements
Be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related Computing and IT discipline, inclusive of Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics, with Upper Second-Class Honors, of the University of Nairobi, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
· Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
Entry requirements
You must have scored C+ in your KCSE.
Besides, you must have C (Plain) grade in English, Physics, and Mathematics
Alternatively, you need to have A-Level two principal passes and one subsidiary pass in the relevant subjects.
Any other relevant professional qualifications approved by the University Senate can be accepted.
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Entry Requirements
You need a KCSE mean grade of C+ and a minimum of C in both English and Mathematics or Diploma in IT with a pass from JKUAT(A similar qualification from other accredited universities may be considered).
· Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering at Multimedia University
Entry Requirements
To pursue software engineering, you need to have scored C+ with C+ in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English language or have scored an A-Level two principal passes and one subsidiary pass in the relevant subjects or relevant professional qualifications from a recognized institution.
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology
Entry qualifications
For you to qualify to pursue this course, you must have an Accredited Diploma in Computer Science.
Another option is being a KNEC Diploma holder in Computer studies with at least a credit pass plus a mean grade of C plain in KCSE.
Fees
Total amount payable to multimedia university per year for each bachelor’s degree above is Kshs. 197,934 for self-sponsored students at the time of writing this..
Of course, the fee is way lower if you join any of these programmes under KUCCPS (it’s subsidized by the government and is about Kshs47,000 per year)
2. Faculty of Media and Communication
· Masters in Journalism and Media Studies
To enroll for this masters course, you must have either a Bachelor degree.
In addition, having relevant professional/creative skills and experience can give you an edge over other applicants.
· Master in Corporate Communications
To enroll for this course, you need to have a bachelor degree from an accredited university with First Class or Upper Second-Class Honors.
· Bachelor in Film and Animation
Minimum Admission Qualifications
KCSE mean grade of C+ (Plus)
Cluster subjects
C+ (plus) in either English or Kiswahili / Art & Design / Drawing & Design
· Bachelor of Journalism
To enroll for this course, you must have at least a C plain in your KCSE
Besides that, you need to have scored a minimum of C+ in English or Kiswahili and most importantly you also must have a Diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Total amount payable to multimedia university for each course in this facility except one =Kshs. 188,000
· Bachelor of Applied Communication
Entry qualifications
You must have a mean grade of C+ in KCSE.
Cluster subjects’ requirements
C+ in English and Kiswahili or else an A-Level two principal passes and one subsidiary pass in the relevant subjects.
Fees
At the time of writing this, the total amount payable to multimedia university =Kshs. 166,800 for self-sponsored students and about Kshs.50,000 if you join any of these programmes under KUCCPS ..
3. Faculty of Business and Economics
· Master in Business Administration (MBA)
Entry requirement
You have either an undergraduate degree in Business administration/management with at least 1st class/2nd class Honors (upper division)
Alternatively, you might be accepted if you have a second class honors (lower division) in Business administration/management (or equivalent) and 2 years work experience in the same field.
· Master of Science in Economics
To do this course, you must have an undergraduate degree in economics with 1st class/2nd class Honors (upper division)-at least.
Also, you might be accepted if you have a second class honors (lower division) in economics (or equivalent) and 2 years work experience in the same field.
· Master of Science in Project Management
Qualifications requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management with Upper second-class honors (at least). Those with Lower Second-Class Honors in the same degree can apply too as long as they have at least two years of relevant work/research experience.
Along with that, you can do this course if you have a similar score in an acceptable non-classified degree.
· Master of Science in Supply Chain Management
Minimum Admission Requirements
To do this course, you must have an undergraduate degree in supply chain management/logistics/procurement with 1st class/2nd class Honors (upper division)-at least.
Also, you might be accepted if you have a second class honors (lower division) in supply chain management/logistics/procurement (or equivalent) and 2 years work experience in the same field.
Other than that, you can be eligible to apply to take this course if you’re a holder of a pass degree in the same areas with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience .

Master of science in entrepreneurship and innovation
To do this course, you must have an undergraduate degree in areas such as entrepreneurship and innovation with 1st class/2nd class Honors (upper division)-at least.
The university also accepts applicants with second class honors (lower division) in entrepreneurship, innovation, creative thinking (or equivalent) and 2 years work experience in the same field.
· Bachelor of Commerce
Minimum entry requirements
Mean grade of KCSE C+ plus with at least C plain in Mathematics and English.
You can also have another degree from a recognized institution to pursue this course.
· Bachelor of Business Information Technology
Minimum Entry Requirements
Have a mean grade of C+ and above in K.C.S.E.
On top of that, you must have a minimum grade of C in Mathematics, English, and Kiswahili or, a relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
· Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science
Minimum entry requirements:
-Minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus) in your KCSE
Cluster subjects
-B in Mathematics
Alternatively, you can enroll for this course if you have a Diploma in Actuarial Science or Applied Statistics from a recognized institution.
· Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management
Requirements
Minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE
Mandatory subjects
-C plain in English
-C in Mathematics or Commerce or Business Studies or Economics or Accounting.
OR have Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a recognized institution.
· Bachelor of Science in Economics
Entry Requirements
Have a minimum grade of C+ and you must have scored at least a Grade of C (plain) in Mathematics.
4. Faculty of Science and Technology
· Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry
Entry qualifications
You must have a Bachelor degree with Second Class Honors upper division (at least) or a Bachelor degree with Second Class Honors Lower Division from any recognized Institution combined with 3 years relevant work experience.

Master of Science in Applied Mathematics
Minimum entry requirements
To pursue this course, you need to have bachelor degree in applied maths with at least Upper Second-Class Honors.
Besides, you can qualify to do this course if you have a bachelors degree in Physics or Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
· Master of Science in Pure Mathematics
Minimum Entry Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in pure mathematics (or a related discipline) with a second-class honor upper and above or lower second class honors + at least two years of related work experience or research, from institutions recognized by the Chuka University Senate.
· Master of Science in Statistics
Entry qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in statistics (or a related discipline) with a second-class honor upper and above or lower second class honors + at least two years of related work experience or research, from institutions recognized by the Chuka University Senate.
· Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics and Computer Science
Minimum entry qualifications
You are expected to have a C+ in your KCSE.
Cluster subjects and the required grades
C+ in both Mathematics and Physics/Physical Science.
· Bachelor of Science in Analytical Chemistry
To enroll for this course, you need to have at least minimum grade of C+(Plus) in your KCSE.
Now, you can still apply if you scored a C- (Minus) in KCSE but you since obtained a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from a recognized institution.
· Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science
Entry qualifications
KCSE mean grade of C+ plus
Cluster subjects
-B in Mathematics
-C+ in Physics/Physical Science and in either Chemistry, Biology/ Biological Science, or Geography

Bachelor of Science in Applied Optics and Lasers
Qualification Required
KCSE Mean Grade of C+ with at least a minimum of C+ in Physics and Mathematics.
Or:
Have a relevant diploma from a recognized institution.
· Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energy and Technology
You must have scored a C+ in your KCSE.
You are also expected to have obtained at least a grade C(Plain) or above in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or a degree from a recognized institution
5. Faculty of Social Science and Technology
· Bachelor of arts (Sociology, Psychology, Political science)
Qualifications requirements
You must have scored a C+ in your KCSE to enroll for this course at a multimedia university.

Entry qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering and you must have a Second-Class Honors Upper Division.
OR:
Be a holder of a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering from a recognized institution like Moi University.
· Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Qualifications
You must be a holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics(with Second-Class Honors Upper Division).
Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering
Entry Qualifications
Have a minimum grade of C+ in your KCSE.
Additionally, you must have scored C+ (plus) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English/Kiswahili or Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, and English.
· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering
Admission requirements
You must have KCSE with C+ plus in KCSE.
You must also have C+ in Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry/Biological Sciences, and English or Kiswahili.
Just so you know, you can be admitted to pursue this course if you have a Higher National Diploma from any recognized university.

As we saw above, your fee is hugely subsidized by the government if you join multimedia university as a government-sponsored student.
