Kitale National Polytechnic courses requirements
In general, the following are the minimum entry requirements for the courses offered:
Diploma Courses: KCSE mean grade of C- (minus) and above
Certificate Courses: KCSE mean grade of D (plain)
Artisan Courses: D- (minus) and below in the KCSE or anyone who possess either a KCPE or KCSE certificate
Kitale National Polytechnic courses offered and fee structure – Fee structure
In this section, we will look at the Kitale National Polytechnic fee structure.
So, regardless of the course you choose (be it a diploma, certificate, or an artisan program), you will pay a total of Kshs. 67,189 per year.
Here is a breakdown of the fee per term:
Term 1: Kshs. 35,220
Term 2: Kshs. 31,969
Total per year: Kshs. 67,189
Other payable levies
Aside from the above fee, there are other mandatory levies that you must pay during admission, so make sure to budget for them separately.
These include:
- Registration fee of Kshs. 500
- KUCCPS fee of Kshs. 1,500
- Student levy of Kshs. 500
- Student ID card of Kshs. 200
It’s also worth noting that you should budget for accommodation and meals, as these are not included in the fees above.
The school provides accommodation for a fee of Kshs. 6,000 per term (on a first-come, first-served basis).
In addition, meals are available in the school cafeteria on a “pay as you eat” basis.
