Kapsowar KMTC courses offered

There is, however, no KMTC campus known as Kapsowar.

We have a medical school called AIC Kapsowar MTC, which is located at Kapsowar Hospital in Marakwet West Sub-County, Elgeiyo-Marakwet County.

But still, there is a KMTC campus in Elgeiyo-Marakwet County known as Iten Campus, which is located in Iten Town, Keiyo North, approximately 35 kilometers from Eldoret.

That being so, we’ll look at the courses available at each of the institutions.

 

Iten KMTC Campus courses offered

Currently, the KMTC Iten Campus offers two courses, as follows:

  1. Course name: Clinical medicine and surgery

Minimum entry requirements: KCSE mean grade of C (plain)

In addition, you must meet the following cluster subject requirements:

  • C (plain) in English or Kiswahili,
  • C (plain) in Biology/Biological Sciences,
  • C- (minus) in Chemistry/Physical Sciences,

And

  • C- (minus) in any one of the following: Mathematics or Physics/Physical Sciences.

Course duration: 3 years

 

  1. Course name: Diploma in community health nursing

Minimum entry requirements: KCSE mean grade of C (plain) with the following cluster subjects:

  • C (plain) in either English or Kiswahili,
  • C (plain) in Biology/Biological Sciences,

And

  • C- (minus) in any one of the following: Chemistry, Physics/Physical Sciences, or Mathematics.

Course duration: 3 ½ years

Iten KMTC campus intake

Just like the other KMTC campuses, intakes at the Iten KMTC campus are typically held twice a year, in March and September.

 

How to apply

Apply through KUCCPS when the portal opens for KMTC applications (remember, by applying through KUCCPS, you will be placed as a government-sponsored student).

Otherwise, if you want to enroll as a self-sponsored student, click here to apply and make sure to pay a non-refundable application fee of Kshs. 2022 via Mpesa Pay Bill No. 964150.

Kapsowar KMTC courses offered…

AIC Kapsowar Medical Training College (Kapsowar MTC) courses offered

Kapsowar MTC is another medical school that you can attend if you are unable to attend the Iten KMTC campus and prefer to study in Elgeiyo Marakwet County.

Just so you know, To clarify, AIC Kapsowar MTC began operations in August 2008 and was approved by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) to train Kenya Registered Community Health Nurses (KRCHN).

With that said, the following courses are available:

  1. Course name: Diploma in nursing

Minimum entry requirements:

KCSE mean grade of C (plain) or its equivalent

Additionally, you must meet the following cluster subject requirements:

  • C (plain) in either English or Kiswahili,
  • C (plain) in Biology or Biological Sciences,

And,

  • At least a C- (minus) in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, or Physical Sciences

Besides, you must also be at least seventeen (17) years old to be eligible for this course.

Course duration: 3 ½ years

Minimum entry requirements:

KCSE mean grade of C (plain), with at least C (plain) in Biology, English/Kiswahili, and C- (minus) in Mathematics/Chemistry/Physics

Minimum entry requirements:
