Just so you know, if you are planning to join JKUAT as a government-sponsored student , this means that you will financially be supported by the Kenyan government to pursue your education.
Simply, if you apply through KUCCPS that enables you to be a government sponsored student, then you will be supported by the government to pay for various things including, educational expenses, such as tuition fees, books, and sometimes even accommodation and living expenses.

What else you need to know about JKUAT undergraduate self-sponsored fee structure
- In both semester 1 and 2, you are required to pay Kshs 4,500 for book allowance.
- Additionally, you must also pay Kshs. 9,000 for food allowance, this money will be used for buying meals at the cafeteria.
- Lastly, you will be required to pay total Kshs 1,447 per term adding up to 2895 for the two terms for your attachment which is usually at the end of the academic year
Side note: The fee above will be paid directly to JKUAT accounts that we will provide at the end of this article except for book allowance and food.

Application Procedure
To apply as a government sponsored student, you apply through KUCCPS.
- First, visit the KUCCPS website on kuccps.net
- Next, accessing the Student’s Portal by Clicking on the button marked: “Student’s Portal”.
- Now, click on the button marked: “LOGIN” and log in by entering your KCSE Index Number, Year of KCSE and your password (KCPE Index or Birth Certificate Number).
- By now a list of institution will be displayed, select JKUAT as your preferred institution.
- Moving on, go to the Programmes tap and select one course of your choice and click on apply

To pay your fee for both undergraduate and post graduate government sponsored students, below are the banks to pay through.
