Please note that with grade C, the best course you can start with is a Diploma- and nowadays, Diplomas in Technical courses such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil engineering, and Building Technology (etc.) are the best when it comes to marketability.

Some of these courses actually need just a C- so you can pursue many of them with just a C- (mean grade).

Also, there are other excellent courses for C grade students in Kenya including KMTC medical diplomas- a Diploma in Clinical Medicine needs a mean grade of C plain with a C plain in English/Kiswahili, Biology/Biological Sciences, and a C- in Chemistry/Physical Science.

Also, for a Diploma in Clinical Medicine, you need a C- in one of Mathematics or Physics/Physical Sciences.

Finally, you can consider doing a teaching course if you scored a C (for example, a diploma in ECDE requires a C plain -minimum).

Final thoughts

Overall, avoid business courses such as procurement (supply chain management), business management, accountancy, and the like since those are currently flooded – I am saying so because there are tons of business courses you can do with grade C in Kenya.

There’s no point doing a course that will need you to have connections to get a job- that’s how most business courses are.

In short, at the moment, we only recommend business courses if you have solid connections or you are planning to start your own business.

Keep in mind that Diploma in Education (Secondary school option) need a C+ and a C+ in your two preferred teaching subjects.
