Schools offering certificate in pharmacy in Kenya including private schools offering certificate in pharmacy in Kenya

As disappointing as it is, the bad news is that there is no medical institution accredited to offer a certificate course in pharmacy in Kenya.

Actually, all accredited medical schools and colleges in Kenya that offer pharmacy course begin at the diploma level, with universities progressing to the degree level, so there are no certificate programs in pharmacy in Kenya.

In fact, according to the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board, the body that registers and oversees pharmacy practice in Kenya, a pharmacy certificate is not recognized in Kenya.

So, if you did not meet the minimum requirements for a diploma or degree, that is so unfortunate. Simply consider taking another medical course.

In a nutshell, a diploma in pharmacy requires a KCSE mean grade of C (plain), with at least C (plain) in English/Kiswahili, Chemistry/Physical Science, Biology/Biological Sciences, and Mathematics/Physics/Physical Sciences.

And by the way, bridging courses are not accepted for medical courses, so even bridging will not help you get into the diploma.

So, assuming you did not qualify for the diploma program, what other options do you have?

Well, all is not lost; you can still enroll for other medical certificate courses.
