KMTC Eldoret: Kenya Medical Training College Eldoret Campus
KMTC Eldoret campus has over 1300 students and has 4 fully fledged departments.
It is one of the oldest KMTC campuses in Kenya (and was established in 1977 initially offering a nursing program) and below is everything you need to know about the campus (from location to courses to how to apply)
KMTC Eldoret Campus Facilities and Learning Environment
- Adequate learning space: There are Multiple classrooms awaiting you, a well-equipped skills lab, and of course, excellent workshops for medical engineering students.
- Technology: Campus has installed both LAN and Wi-Fi, so you can access online resources and complete your assignments promptly.
- Safety and security: CCTV cameras have been installed so you will be studying in a secure environment.
- Teaching staff: Also, the trainers are well-trained, with some holding master’s degree qualifications not to mention their deep expertise in teaching methodologies
Extracurricular Activities and Student Engagement
- As a student, you are encouraged to participate in:
- Sports (mainly football, basketball, badminton)
- Clubs – you can join clubs such as Presidential Award Kenya Club, Drama Club, Guidance and Counseling Club, and CSR (Community Service and Responsibility) Club.
- You will also be involved in community service during your study period including:
- Medical camps
- Tree planting initiatives
- Blood donation drives involving students and the local community.
Hostels at Eldoret KMTC
- You can reside both on campus (apply earliest because there is a lot of competition for space) and off-campus (there are dozens of private hostels that you can board in if you are not fortunate to get space inside campus hostels)

KMTC Eldoret Campus offers a variety of courses in 4 different departments:
Department of nursing
- Here they offer all Nursing courses (Certificate & Diploma)
Department of clinical medicine
- Here you can study for a Diploma in Clinical Medicine
Department of medical imaging sciences(or Radiography and Imaging)
- This is where you study if your dream is to take a Diploma in Radiography/Imaging
Department of medical engineering
- Their medical engineering department is very well equipped and you can study for both a KMTC Certificate in Medical Engineering and KMTC Diploma in Medical Engineering

Partnerships
There is a strong emphasis on your holistic development as a student through extracurricular activities, community service, and freedom of worship.
So the KMTC has entered into several beneficial partnerships that help students in various ways. These include:
- County Government of Uasin Gishu
- Other Counties: Some students have been supported to pay fees via NG-CDF funds.
- Life Care Hospital: The facility has provided space for specialized training in ENT and anesthesia.
- West Electrical and Electric Equipment Center (WEE): This partnership is for safe disposal of electronic waste

Application Process
For all KMTC courses, apply through KUCCPS – The online application process involves creating an account on the KUCCPS website, selecting your desired course at KMTC, and paying the application fee. Remember you do not have control over the campus you will be taken to..
So you wont have an option to choose Eldoret KMTC….but you could be lucky to be placed there..
