Minimum entry requirements:

A KCSE mean grade of C (plain) or its equivalent

Cluster subjects requirements:

  • C (plain) in Biology/Biological sciences
  • C (plain) in Chemistry/Physical sciences
  • C- (minus) in either Mathematics or Agriculture

Alternative qualifications:
Certificate in Animal Health and Production or Credit Certificate in 2 years DST/Agriculture/Range Management /Wildlife Health/Animal Production/Animal Husbandry

Course duration: 2 ½ years (5 semesters)

Total fees:  Kshs. 210,300

 

Diploma in Animal Health and Range Management

Minimum entry requirements:

A KCSE mean grade of C (plain), with a C (plain) in Biology/Biological sciences, C- (minus) in Chemistry/Physical science, and a C- (minus) in Mathematics/Agriculture.

Alternatively, you can also enroll for the course with a Certificate in Animal Health and Production, or Credit Certificate in 2 years DST/Agriculture/Range Management /Wildlife Health/Animal Production/Animal Husbandry.

Course duration: 2 ½ years (5 semesters)

Total fees:  Kshs. 210,300

 

Diploma in Leather Technology

Minimum entry requirements:

A KCSE mean grade of C- (minus), with a C- (minus) in Chemistry and a C- (minus) in any other one science subject.

Alternatively, you can also apply for this diploma course if you have a certificate in leather technology.

Course duration: 2 ½ years (5 semesters)

Total fees:  Kshs. 211,450

Upgrading Certificate course in Animal Health

Minimum entry requirements:

Either a Certificate, Diploma, or BSc. in Animal Husbandry, Range Management, or Wildlife Health, with at least a D+ (plus) in Biology in KCSE

Course duration: 1 year (2 semesters)

Total fees:  Kshs. 84,300

 

Certificate in Leather Technology

Minimum entry requirements:

A KCSE mean grade of D+ (plus), with at least a D+ (plus) in Chemistry and Biology

Course duration: 2 years (4 semesters)

Total fees:  Kshs. 123,700

 

Certificate in Footwear Design & Technology

Minimum entry requirements:

A KCSE mean grade of D+ (plus) with at least a D+ (plus) in Chemistry

Course duration: 1 year (2 semesters)

Total fees:  Kshs. 93,950

 

Short course fee structure:

Artificial Insemination

Entry requirements:

You should have a basic course in Animal Health. (Either Certificate/Diploma/Degree level)

Course duration: 1 month

Intake: Throughout the year

Total fees:  Kshs. 50,000

 

AHITI Kabete fee structure – How to pay fees

Please note that all the school fees must be paid via a Banker’s cheque, Ac. PS Livestock Development.

It’s also worth noting that you must pay a non-refundable application fee of Kshs. 1,000 via banker’s cheque to Ac.PS Livestock Development before submitting your documents during the application process.

 

AHITI Kabete intakes

AHITI Kabete typically has three intakes per year for all of their courses, with the exception of Artificial Insemination, which has intakes throughout the year. That is in the months of January, May, and September.
