As you might be aware, KUCCPS has released its placement results (except for KMTC and Primary Teacher’s applicants) for the 2024 KCSE Candidates with thousands of students getting placed into Universities(Private and Public) and TVET Colleges respectively(across hundreds of training institutions).

With that, your next step is getting your kuccps admission letter (unless you want to change the course/institution by following the steps as explained in our kUCCPS Changing course guide) – Inter-University Transfer is likely to  be allowed weeks after the final revision is closed.

So below is what you need to know about kuccps student portal admission letters 2025..

When it comes to kuccps admission letters, the letters have to be released by KUCCPS itself…and then colleges and Universities are to start sending them out as soon as the final KUCCPS placement results are out. 

In other words, the institutions are supposed to send you the letter via the contact email you gave on the portal and also alert you via SMS anytime from now.

Also, most of the Colleges and Universities also publish the letters on their websites so you can be checking if they are ready by going to the website of the college/university you have been assigned to.

One way of expediting the process, especially if there are delays is by contacting the college/university directly (you can Google for their telephone numbers and the reach out to them…tell whoever receives your call that you’re enquiring about your admission letter)

The letter will have all the important joining instructions – what you need (from learning materials and tools to documents to report with), joining dates, directions to the institution, accommodation/hostel details, and more.

Most importantly, you will be instructed how to apply for government funding (and HELB) under the new government funding model for higher education.

Note that you’ll need to have your admission letter (with your admission number) when applying for financing through the official Government funding website https://www.hef.co.ke/ 

For HELB, you’re still required to go to helb.co.ke – please speak to your institution for help where necessary.

How do I check my kuccps admission letter? / how can i check my admission letter from kuccps / how do i check my admission status for kuccps / how do i check my kuccps admission letter online

Go to the website of the institution you were placed into and check if your kuccps admission letter 2025 is already uploaded.

Alternatively, contact the institution (email, call, sms or whatsapp them) and request for your letter.

The letter are never uploaded on KUCCPS portal so there is no point in checking there (I say so because I keep students Google “kuccps admission letters portal login”)

As regards joining date, most of you will be joining the institutions you have been selected into in September.

Is kuccps admission letters out?

It should be out in the next few days, if you have not received it – in fact, some institutions are very swift and have already started sending the letters to your contact details so please contact the institution if you’re unsure.

How to check kuccps placement 2025 via sms

Send your KCSE index number -start with your K.C.S.E. year to sms number 20842.

Note that you should not put a space or a slash(/) anywhere.

Here is an example of how to compose the SMS:

20221234567812

2022 is the year and 1234567812, the index.

Once you type like that, send that SMS to 20842

Make sure you have enough airtime (I saw as if it is charging 25/-) 

Call KUCCPS helpline at 020 5137400 if stuck.

Do not also forget that KUCCPS shall be uploading the results on your KUCCPS student portal.

How to check kuccps placement online

Once the KUCCPS placement results are updated on KUCCPS portal, all you have to do is log into your KUCCPS students account..you will see a message on the right hand top corner informing you where you have been placed and into which cours.
