Additionally, you must have scored at least a D- (plus) in Mathematics and in either English or Kiswahili.

Fees

The fee per trimester is Kshs. 36,850, so you’ll pay Kshs. 184,250 for the entire course, which takes five trimesters to complete.

This is a tertiary training institute that offers a variety of courses, including a diploma in software engineering.

Minimum entry requirements

KCSE mean grade of C- (minus) or its equivalent

Intakes: The Kenya Institute of Software Engineering has four intakes per year, which are as follows:

• January-February
• April-May
• July, and
• September-October

Fees

The program will cost you Kshs. 19,500 per term for a period of 18 months (that is, 6 terms).

There are three ways to apply for the program at the Kenya Institute of Software Engineering.

These include:

You can also study for a diploma in software development at the Institute of Software Technologies in Nairobi.

Minimum entry requirements

• Windows PC
• Basic web development (HTML and CSS)

Or,

• A certificate course in software development

Intakes: Their intakes are normally in January, May, and September of each year..

Fees

The software development diploma at IST takes one year to complete (two semesters).

So, in terms of fees, you will be charged Kshs. 80,000 for the first semester and Kshs. 70,000 for the second semester, making it a total of Kshs. 150,000 for the entire course (including the exam fee).
