To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at JKUAT, you must meet the following requirements:

Minimum entry requirements:

A mean grade of C+ in KCSE or its equivalent

Course duration: 4 years

Mode of study: Full time

It is important to note that after the four years, you will also complete a one-year internship program and sit for a licensing examination as required by the Nursing Council of Kenya.

JKUAT Bachelor of Science in Nursing fee

The course costs Kshs. 316,710 per academic year (that is, you will be paying tuition fee of Kshs. 316,710 each year for a period of four  years).

Cluster points for nursing in JKUAT – Intakes

JKUAT typically has three nursing course intakes per year. This occurs each year in the months of January, May, and September.

How to apply

You can apply for the nursing program as a self-sponsored student or as a government-sponsored student.

So, if you want to apply as a government-sponsored student, you should do so through the KUCCPS portal (once it’s open for applications), keeping in mind that you’ll be eligible for government scholarships and loans.

Otherwise, if you choose to be a self-sponsored student, you will be responsible for paying your full school fees without the assistance of the government. Apply online through JKUAT’s online application portal or in person at the school.
