• One must prove that they are currently enrolled as a student, that they are taking one or more courses, or that they are registered to take classes the following semester at a specific institution.
• One must not have been convicted of any offenses punishable under Kenyan law.
• Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
• It is prohibited to steal from other students.
• Property misuse and destruction are not tolerated.
• Rent must be paid within the time frame specified in the hostel policy.

So, those are the rules established by the Qwetu hostel management and must be followed.

QWETU hostels and their location

1.     Qwetu Hurlingham hostel

The Qwetu Hurlingham hostel is located on Argwings Kodhek Road, just a short walk from Daystar University and a 10-minute drive from Strathmore University and the Nairobi CBD.

In addition, the hostel accommodates over 700 students from various universities and colleges, including Daystar University, Strathmore University, the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Boma International College, and Riara University, among others.

Furthermore, students have the following four types of room types to choose from:

• Premium room
• Studio room
• Cluster room
• Twin room

2.     Qwetu Parklands hostel

The Qwetu Parklands hostel is only a 10-minute drive from the Nairobi CBD.

It has a capacity of over 500 students and is ideal for students from the University of Nairobi, Mount Kenya University Parklands Campus, Bridge College, Kenya Methodist University, Graffins College, Evelyn College of Design, and the Kenya Institute of Management.

It’s also worth noting that they have three different types of rooms, which are as follows:

• Premium room
• Cluster room
• Twin room

3.     Qwetu Wilson View hostel

This hostel is located along Keri Road, near T-Mall, Java Mbagathi Way, Wilson Airport and Galleria Mall. It is only a 5-minute walk from Strathmore University and a 10-minute drive from Daystar University and the Nairobi CBD.

It is thus ideal for students from Strathmore University, Daystar University, the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Boma International College, and a variety of aviation colleges.

4.     Qwetu Jogoo Road hostel

Qwetu Jogoo Road is a 20-minute drive from University of Nairobi main campus, a 10-minute drive from Strathmore University, and a 25-minute drive from the Nairobi CBD.

It accommodates over 500 students from the University of Nairobi (UoN), Strathmore University, Daystar University, and the majority of Nairobi’s flight schools.

They also have the following room types:

5.     Qwetu Karen hostel

Qwetu Karen Hostel is only a 2-minute walk from the Catholic University of East Africa.

It offers accommodation to over 600 students from Co-operative University, Catholic University of Eastern Africa, African Nazarene University, Multimedia University, Africa International University, Marist International University, Kenya School of Law, and JKUAT Karen Campus.

Also, keep in mind that they have four different types of rooms:

6.     Qwetu Ruaraka hostel

Qwetu Ruaraka Hostel is located near Allsops, Ruaraka off Thika Road, 20 minutes from USIU, 5 minutes from KCA University, and close to Garden City Mall and TRM Mall.

It is ideal for students at USIU, KCA University, Zetech University, Graffins College, and Kenyatta University, among other institutions.

7.     Qwetu Aberdare Heights I hostel

This residence is only 50 meters from the United States International University (USIU) and Pan Africa University.
