The first year

Semester 2

The second year

How is this paid per semester in your second year?

Well, you pay as follows (for both sem 1 and sem 2) – you are essentially paying the Kshs.118000 in two equal installments:

Semester fee/ per sem (year 2)

The third year

How is this paid per semester in your third year?

Well, you pay as follows (for both sem 1 and sem 2):

Semester fee/ per sem (year 3)

Then, there will be the final 6 months (you normally study for 3 and ½ years)

Here you pay kshs.59000 (total just as it has been since start of year 2)

KMTC fee structure for self sponsored students – Other details

• Note that you’re to pay for your meals and accommodation separately (if you will be living in your KMTC campus hostels. Ask for the actual means and hostel rates from the campus you choose as it is not standard.
• Also budget for extra money to cater for other incidental expenses including research and your practical attachment(clinical experience) depending on which sem you’re in your course.
• Also, if you’ll be living in a private hostel, you need to speak to the landlord well in advance to have an idea of how much you need for hostels…and you need money for your meals too

• KMTC encourages you to pay your fees on an annual basis to prevent interruption of training in the middle of a term due to fees arrears.
• No fees is refunded if you’re dismissed due to any reason(s)
• Students who are pursuing KMTC Diploma in Community Health Nursing as well as Diploma in Clinical Medicine and surgery pay an extra 1500 and Kshs. 2750 respectively for their Skills lab Manuals& materials.

About Stationery

KMTC also needs you to buy your own stationery (ask for details about what stationeries you need when reporting).

Besides, KMTC wants you to purchase your own textbooks- you’ll be given specific course book list during the admission process to help you buy the right books.

About Medical Equipment

You will also need to buy special medical equipment e.g. Stethoscopes so budget for that as well…the list is given to you during admission.
