Total Cost of studying medicine at UON (over the 6 years) – Kshs. 3,806,000.00

Let me add that you can have the fee reduced for you – the government pays a part or 100% of the fee- if you apply through KUCCPS (recent KCSE graduates) and you then apply for government funding via the HEF funding website.

Reminder: How much you are given as a scholarship (per year) will depend on the category the HEF system puts you in(once you apply).

Otherwise, prepare to meet 100% of the cost if you’re self-sponsored.

Please remember to have some extra cash somewhere to meet your living expenses and other applicable charges (e.g. stationery cost, travelling, PRACTICUM, and the like)

Lastly, international students pay the fee above too.

PS: The fee can change abruptly so be sure to check with UON’s finance office if fee is still the same
